Before the Mahabharata.. Part-1
Hello friends!
Today I was thinking that what should be written so that the
readers get something new and the curiosity to read retains. One thought came
to mind that our children should know about some of our ancestors. I asked some
questions form children about the Mahabharata. I came to know that children
know very little things about the Mahabharata, and In the Mahabharata, some
stories begin with such an extent that the listener or the reader are eager to
know the story behind the story. But the sources of those stories are not
readily available, and if available then there are in Sanskrit language, which everyone
can not understand at all. Today, the idea is coming out that these stories
should be translated into Hindi and English and written on the blog.
Now, since yesterday I started this blog, and promised all
the readers that I would write something new every day here.

Since tomorrow you
will find stories which are related to the Mahabharata, but in the Mahabharata,
these stories are mentioned partially. In this series, first of all, we will
discuss the story of Mahabharata and then discuss a story every day.
As you all know that Mahabharata is the story of Pandavas
and Kauravas, but before knowing it, you all have to know the history of
Pandavas and Kauravas. In ancient times, the ancestor of the Kauravas and
Pandavas was king Yayati and their capital was Khandavaprastha, which was later
developed by the Pandavas as Indraprastha. Yayati had two queens.
The name of one was Devyani. Devyani was the daughter of Asur
Guru Shukracharya. And the other was the daughter of King of asuras, Vrishparva
– Her name was Sharmishtha.
Devyani had two sons. The name of the eldest son was Yadu
and the name of younger son was Turvasu. The eldest son Yadu was very good and
intelligent. Yaduvansh came in existence on his name, in which later a great
man like Shrikrishna was born.
Sharmishtha had three sons - Duhaya, Anu and Puru. The
youngest son was very brave and obedient of parents. Later, King Yayati made
Puru his successor and he became king. Puruvansha was started by the name of
Puru.
Who was the father of Yayati, who were his descendants? We
will discuss all these stories in detail and I believe that all readers will
like these stories. That's it all today Will meet tomorrow with an untouched
story.
